Paxis watches every metric, log, and trace in your stack and compares it to a continuously updated behavioral baseline — not a static threshold. The moment a signal deviates in shape, frequency, or cross-correlation with neighboring signals, Paxis flags it as an anomaly rather than a heart-rate alarm that fires on noise.

Decide
For each confirmed anomaly, Paxis scores confidence against historical patterns and impact against the affected workload, then picks a single pre-approved playbook. If the confidence or blast radius ever exceeds what the operator has authorized, the loop pauses and escalates — autonomy is bounded, not absolute.

Remediate
The chosen playbook runs in place: rolling restart of the failing pod, draining traffic off a bad node, rolling back a bad deploy, throttling a noisy neighbor. Every action is sandboxed, scoped to the affected workload, and reversible on a one-line rollback. Nothing runs blind — every step is logged as it happens.

Verify
After the playbook finishes, Paxis confirms the original signal has returned to baseline. If it has, the resolution is recorded with timestamps, the affected workload, and the playbook that closed it; the entry lands on the public trust feed. If it has not, the loop re-enters Decide with the new signal context.
